Our Story

My name is Lisa Finnegan. I am an American living in Northern Ireland.

I have always loved rough collies, ever since I watched Lassie on TV and read my first Albert Payson Terhune novel, Lad: a Dog, when I was eight. I have had collies since I was a teenager and  I'm especially partial to the blue merles. 

When James and I got engaged we decided that I would join him in Northern Ireland.  So in 2004 we got married and left New York City with my collie, Conner (Clarion Conner's Stormy Skies). He is shown in Central Park. When we moved to Richhill, Northern Ireland Conner acted like he had won the doggy lottery, going from concrete streets to green fields with a big garden and mature trees to revel in.

Shortly after, we felt that Conner needed company, so we got Wanda (Kynan She's a Diva at Oakmoon)

In 2008 we decided to start breeding, which was something i had always wanted to do since I was a little girl. We took our inspiration from the 200 year old oak tree in our garden and Oakmoon Collies was born and our adventure began.
